About Us
The Yachats Public Library is an independent library operated by staff and volunteers, owned by the City of Yachats, overseen by the Library Commission and supported by the non-profit Friends of Yachats Library.
The Library is currently staffed with 25-30 volunteers plus the Library Administrator, Traci Altson, who began work in September 2022.
Our Mission
The mission of the Yachats Public Library is to provide free and open access to a safe, welcoming space. The library is dedicated to promoting life-long learning; providing the community with the tools and resources to both foster literacy and to provide entertainment.
